- Rebel computer benchmark -

Here you will find a statistic how the most used types of Pc's will perform on chess programs. The 2 used chess program for the benchmark are Rebel 8.0 and the OLD Rebel Decade 1.2

The idea is to take 3 positions from the provided BT2630 database (BT06, BT16 and BT20) and run them with the fixed PLY=9 level.

 BT06 BT16 BT20

REMARKS

  • Again we have a new number one, this time the new KryoTech AMD K6-2 450 Mhz the machine that will play Vishy Anand from July 21-23.
  • The race now seems to go between Intel and AMD only as we hardly receive any input for Cyrix.
  • In the meantime we are eagerly awaiting Intel's Pentium 450 Mhz (Xeon) but we really wonder if Intel is able to beat the KryoTech AMD K6-2 450.
  • If you enter your results please follow the exact rules as described below. Do not enter solution times of the key-move but wait till Rebel is finished and check the nodes searched. They MUST match 100%!
