Dear Reader,
Thank you for purchasing REBEL 10.0! You have become a member of an ever growing group of people from all over the world using a REBEL program. Although we do not pretend our program is perfect, we still believe you'll enjoy many hours of pleasure with REBEL 10.0. In comparison with its predecessor REBEL 9.0, not only has REBEL 10.0 become stronger again but we also extended its useful options.
As you will very well understand, nowadays this cannot be done anymore by one person. Therefore we'd like to introduce a few people of the REBEL team:
First of all of course ED SCHRÖDER, the author of the chess engine and original creator of the REBEL programs. With his own style of programming (some people consider REBEL to play the most human-like of all programs) he achieved many national and international successes, including some world titles. Remember it is especially his intelligent skill of combining chess knowledge and programming that will make REBEL a very tough adversary for you!
Besides ED, every year it is again a challenge for ROBERT KEMPER (user interface and communication software) and JEROEN NOOMEN (opening theory) to improve the REBEL product. Also GERDA CROESE (administration and order supply) made the release of this product possible.
MANFRED ROSENBOOM also made an important contribution by supplying us with useful utilities and by supporting our FAQ (= Frequently Asked Questions) on the Internet. If you have a question, just look a moment in REBEL-FAQ on our homepage
before you ring your dealer!

The REBEL 10.0 software is the exclusive property of Schröder
BV and is protected by Dutch and International law. You are prohibited
from transferring this product in any way or form whatsoever. It is
forbidden to change, split, disassemble or produce any changed form of
this product.
Without the prior written consent of the Schröder BV, this program may not be used in any computer-computer tournaments of which results are published in any form whatsoever such as the SSDF list.
LIMITED WARRANTY
The media upon which the program is recorded is warranted to be
free from defects for the standard guarantee specified by legislative
regulations.
The warranty is void if the failure of the media is due to accident, abuse or misapplication. Apart from this warranty Schröder BV or his suppliers will not in any event be liable for any loss, including consequential loss, caused by any error or defect howsoever arising. In any case liability shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the purchaser for the software.
These conditions are governed by Dutch and international law.
